Eleven years ago my wife and I bought the business and opened our own, Barton’s Bookshop, in the wonderful half timbered, 2 Bridge Street. I am now retired and devoting even more of my time to the future prosperity of Leatherhead, I was President of the Chamber for one year 2003/2004. I take an active role in helping run the street market and am part of the Reference Group for Transform Leatherhead.

Along the way I served as both a non-commissioned and commissioned officer for 8 years with the Queens Regiment T/A & ACF.
I have a passion for the town and am keen to be a part of the transformation currently planned for Leatherhead. As a member of the board since 2016 I have been involved with events and festivals held in the town, keeping an eye on planning applications and liaison with the market.
I’m Lizzi Butcher of ZenFi. I am a Mortgage & Protection Adviser based in Leatherhead, having started my mortgage career in 2001. The element of my work I enjoy the most is helping people realise their dreams. I have been a Chamber member for a year now and am looking forward to supporting businesses in any way I can.
